The river is located in Huinan Town, Pudong District, Shanghai。 

2.Sources of pollution

The dredging work was carried out in 2017. Although pollution control measures have been taken, there are still external pollution sources entering the river in rainy days. The water quality is about 15cm transparent, and the water is cloudy with peculiar smell along the river bank. In sunny days, the water quality is better, while in rainy days, the water quality becomes worse due to the influence of overflow sewage discharge, river tide, gate control and so on. The river bank is rigid slope revetment, which is a typical urban river water body.

3.Governance objectives

Eliminate black odor. Achieve Ⅴ class water。

4.Control measures

The governance time is 29 May 2019 solstice July 13, a total of 45 days. 1 installation device.

5.Effect

Water quality improvement, eliminate black smelly, achieve Ⅴ class water. The dissolved oxygen content increased from 0.2mg/L to 2.1mg/L. COD was reduced from 32.5mg/L to 12mg/L, and the removal rate was 63%. Nh3-n decreased from 5.7mg/L to 1.5mg/L, and the removal rate was 73%. TN decreased from 5.9mg/L to 3.85mg/L, and the removal rate was 34%. TP decreased from 0.628mg/L to 0.32mg/L with 49% removal rate.
